Najas guadelupensis (Spreng.) Magnus

Common Waternymph, Guadalupe Waternymph

Stems very slender, about 0.5 mm thick or less, 3-6 dm long; leaves narrowly linear, flat or slightly crispate, 0.5-1 mm wide, 1-2.5 cm long, acute to acuminate and with 1-4 short, 1-celled spines at apex, marginal teeth minute, 1-celled, brownish, 10-18 along each side (Wiggins and Porter, 1971).

Widely distributed in fresh-water pools, ditches, and sluggish streams (Wiggins and Porter, 1971).
