Finet (2001): This species has been mentioned from the Galapagos by Keen (1971); the record was repeated by Finet (1985, 1991). However, DuShane (1974) restricted its southern distribution to Costa Rica, and as no specimen from the Galapagos has been found in the collections, the record of Keen may be considered dubious (see also Skoglund, 1992). The question was also discussed in Finet (1994). Kaiser (1997: 52) includes the species in her list of taxa of rejected occurrence.; Syn.: Eccliseogyra nebulosa Dall, 1919, Epitonium brunneopictum Dall, 1908, fide Appeltans et al.(2010)

Origin: Native

Distribution

Distribution: Cedros islands, Baja California and Ecuador including Galapagos islands.
