Plant sap; polyphagous; transition zone, arid zone, Scalesia, Palo santo forest; FIT, malaise and pan traps; March-June. Principal aphid pest on many crops. Host alternating, in part, to peach and some other Prunus species where climate permits; otherwise anholocyclic.
