D. 22442, from a violently surfy shelf at Punta Suarez, Hood Island. The apparently higher respiratory oxygen requirement of these plants seems to be met by the violently surfy conditions in contrast to the quieter habitats o£ the next species which is known to have higher temperature tolerances (Dawson, 1963:6)
