Syn.: Marginaria incana Presl., Polypodium polypodioides (L.) Watt, P. polypodioides var. burchellii (Baker) Weath. fide Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew & Missouri Botanical Garden (2010). This species, as reported by Wiggins & Porter (1971), most likely also refers to Polypodium incanum Sw. sensu Svenson (1938).
