BM101450 in the Diatom Collection of the Natural History Museum of London and acquisition no. CDS-44671 at the Charles Darwin Research Station, Galapagos; Type locality: Galapagos Islands, Isablena at Las Diablas lagoon (Witkowski & Seddon, 2012).

Origin: Native

Distribution: Mangrove leaf litter from Diablas lagoon, Galapagos. Also found in sediments of brackish waters in the San Francisco Bay area, California, and the nearby Pacific Ocean coast (Witkowski & Seddon, 2012).
