Vampyroteuthis infernalis Chun, 1903

Calamar vampiro, Vampire squid

Note: Female Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas) feeding on a vampire squid Vampyroteuthis infernalis) at Darwin Island, Galapagos Islands; the presence of cephalopods in their diet has not yet been confirmed. It has been argued that Green Sea Turtles could feed opportunistically on dead or injured squids, but it would be very difficult for a turtle to chase down and hunt these fast-moving animals
