Small, short lived shrub to 1.5 m tall. Flowers 2-5 per node; pedicels recurving and becoming thick in fruit; corolla dull white or somewhat greenish. Fruit pendant, persistent, with longitudinal furrows, the fruit wall fleshy, ripening red; seeds cream to yellow (WFO, 2023).
