The Galapagos Species Database shares the information about the species from our Natural History Collections.

Lepidosina inaequalis (Malloch, 1914)

This record was initially based on a single female specimen and was tentatively identified as L. inaequalis (Marshall et al. 2007). Recent rearing studies have produced additional specimens and the initial identification of this species has been confirmed. This species was reared from mud collected fresh from a tortoise wallow in the agricultural zone (Reserva Pájaro Brujo) on Santa Cruz (Lehnen et al. unpubl.) (Sinclair, 2023).
