Galapagos Species Database

The Galapagos Species Database shares the information about the species from our Natural History Collections.

Aphelolpium cayanum Muchmore, 1979

Pseudoscorpión, Pseudoscorpion

On the five Galapagos islands where it occurs, it has been collected in litter of different plants, from the littoral zone up to an altitude of 1300 m, as well as in flight interception traps, which implies phoretic behaviour and high dispersal possibilities. No differences have been observed between specimens from the five islands (Mannert, 2014).
