Colonies may be very small (a few cm2 in area), or extend to cover large areas over a square meter in area (Reimer & Fujii, 2010)..
Polyps have yellow, orange, or cream tentacles, and a red, yellow, or light yellow oral disk, with a light tan, light pink, or cream coenenchyme (Reimer & Fujii, 2010).

Taxon category: Accepted
Holotype: MHNG-INVE-67495, March 13, 2007; Type locality: Floreana - La Botella (1.2904°S, 90.4989°W). Paratype: CMNH-ZG 05883, Roca Onan - Pinzón, March 14, 2007; USNM 1134064, Cousins Rock, March 10, 2007. It might also be present at Isla del Coco, confirmation pending (Reimer & Fujii, 2010). Note: Previously mentioned as Parazoanthus sp. G1 (Reimer et al. (2008b, 2010 & Hickman 2008).
Origin: Native
Distribution: Galápagos Islands: Wolf, Marchena, Isabela, Fernandina, Santa Cruz, San Cristóbal, Española y Floreana (Reimer & Fujii, 2010).
