Herbaceous vine, sometimes lignescent, the stems pubescent with hairs more or less spreading to somewhat retrorse. Corolla pink or lavender to white; fruit essentially sessile, 3-7 cm long x 5-9 mm wide, tomentulose (Wiggins and Porter, 1971).
