Sprawling or climbing vine, stems pubescent with spreading hairs; stipules densely pubscent, striate, attenuate, about 2-3 mm long; stipels linear, 1-1.5 mm long. Inflorescences elongate, about 15-20 cm long, relatively few-flowered, flowers solitary or in pairs, corolla dark purple (Wiggins and Porter, 1971).
