Syn: Amphideritus cuneiformis G.R. Waterhouse, 1845, Otiorhynchus cuneiformis (G.R. Waterhouse, 1845), fide Peck (unpublished); Anderson & Lanteri (2000) could not reliably place this genus and species at the tribal level. It is here placed tentatively as Naupactini. A second species of Amphideritus suggested by Franz (1985: 100) appears to be this same species. Separate island populations show external differences but no significant differences were seen in the male genitalia between populations.
Origin: Endemic
