Syn.: Callyodon compressus Osburn & Nichols, 1916, fide Appeltans et al. (2010) Note: Nuclear data were analyzed obtaining that S. compressus individuals had mixed genomes, by NewHybrids models revealed that 89.8% (n = 59) of S. compressus samples were hybrids between S. perrico × S. ghobban or S. perrico × S. rubroviolaceus; it is inferred that migration models favored gene flow between S. perrico and S. ghobban, but not between other species pairs Carlon, et al. (2021).
