Size: Common to 46 cm. TP - Green to blue-green; pink central stripe on dorsal and anal fins; blue markings around pectoral fin and underside often yellowish to pinkish.

Habitat: Shallow water, most abundant in regions of coral development.

Distribution

Distribution: widespread Indo-Pacific species; in the eastern Pacific from the lower Gulf of California to Panama and Galapagos, Widespread in Tropical Indo-Pacific. Southwest Gulf of California to Ecuador. Galápagos, Cocos and Malpelo Islands.
