Scarus perrico Jordan & Gilbert, 1882

loro jorobado, loro guacamayo, Bumphead parrotfish

Size: To about 76 cm. TP - Grren to blue-green; fins generally more bluish; blue markings radiate from eye; blue bands around mouth. Only parrotfish with no substantial difference in color or markings between IP and TP. Size of bump on head increas.

Habitat: Most abundant in regions of coral development; usually seen in schools of five to ten individuals.

Distribution

Distribution: Eastern Pacific, from the Gulf of California and western coast of Mexico to Peru, and Cocos and Galapagos. Southern Gulf of California to northern Peru. Galápagos and Malpelo Islands
