Eleocharis acutangula (Roxb.) Schult.

tule, acute spikerush

Sheaths membranaceous, straw-colored to brownish, apex oblique, often apiculate. Spikelets up to to 4.2 cm, cylindrical; glumes 3.2-4.8 mm, subcartilaginous, conspicuously veined, ovate, tapering gradually toward apex, margins narrow (Flora Mesoamericana, 2009).

Aquatic or flooded areas in savannas, forests, roadsides (Flora Mesoamericana, 2009).
