Fimbristylis dichotoma (L.) Vahl

arrocillo, forked fringe-rush, forked fimbry, two rowed rush

Short rhizome sometimes present; culms tufted in small to large clumps, flattened, subtrigonous, 15-60 cm tall, smooth, glabrous or sparsely pilose, especially toward ápex, leaves borne only at base; leaves shorter tan or sometimes equaling culms (Wiggins and Porter, 1971).

In wet, open grassland and along margins of cultivated fields (Wiggins and Porter, 1971).
