Syn.: Anomia adamas Gray, 1850; Finet (2001): No material from the Galapagos could be examined by the author to verify the occurrence of the species. As Anomia adamas Gray, 1850 is a possible synonym of A. peruviana (see Keen, 1971: 101; Gemmell et al., 1987: 28-29), records mentioning A. adamas from the Galapagos may have to be listed with those of A. peruviana.
