Sesuvium portulacastrum

Rastrera baja que cubre el suelo. Tiene hojas carnosas de color gris verdoso. Las flores son de color rosado en forma de estrella.
A menudo forma alfombras densas sobre terreno rocoso y arenoso y adquiere un color rojo anaranjado durante la estación fría. Las flores son visitadas a menudo por la abeja carpintera de Galápagos (McMullen 1999).
