Holotype: collector not indicated; date not indicated but material forms part of the St George Expedition of 1923-1924 associated with C. Crossland; BM algal box collection no. 322 (Woelkerling 1998: 382). Notes: Holotype fragments: PC, unnumbered, General Herbarium box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym).
